I am a young-ish Christian man interested in art as a side-hobby at the moment. I once had my private pilot's license, and flying remains one of the most exhilarating experiences I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. As you will also probably surmise, I am a Brony.
I was raised in a Christian home; my father is a pastor. Both my parents have been instrumental in my life. I accepted Christ as my savior at a young age, being baptized at the age of seven. My faith has grown since then, as studying both the Bible and the natural world have led me to a belief beyond doubt that God is the Creator (even were I an atheist, I could not believe the accepted theory of macro-evolution). That's going to bug some of you...
As to my Bronyhood... well, I started seeing YouTube video parodies of games I like to play featuring scenes and animations from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic show and thought they were amusing. After a while I thought I should investigate this and see why the show was being used so often in what I thought were unrelated areas. One episode later, I was hooked, though I didn't realize how badly.
Part of why I fell in love with this show is that it presents a world where despite the presence of evil, the characters put forth good, clean, moral values on a regular basis, and didn't fail to use wit and humor when possible either. This was a sharp contrast to the daily barrage of negativity, violence and general vileness that is so prevalent in our world. So, a colorful, funny show promoting positive values and messages, simplistic though they may be, has an appeal to an audience one would not expect.
Peace to you. I hope you enjoy the work I put forth.
